The APAG05-2 an ideal linear amplifier at 2.4 GHz.

The APAG05-2 device is designed to work as a linear amplifier for data transfer over the CAT-5e cable, which at the same time also carries the supply voltage for the APAG05. This flexibility lets the APAG05-2 device be placed in a remote location very close to the antenna, so that signal losses are minimal.
The APAG05-2 device uses Time Division Duplex (TDD), a technology designed for power devices at 2.4 GHz in the ISM band. Applications in this band include systems for WLAN, Bluetooth, Point to Point (P2P) and Point to Multi-Point (P2MP) communication.
The APAG05-2 device increases coverage and stabilises the data rate of data transmitted as Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) in 802.11b, 802.11b+, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11b+g applications.
For Tx, it uses a high-efficiency linear amplifier, an MMIC built on a Gallium Arsenide Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT), so that it has very low current consumption and heat emission. The APAG05-2 amplifies the signal of any 802.11b/g/n device. This means that your Access Point or your wireless router can easily reach long distances using an external high-gain directional antenna and the necessary condition of line of sight between the two points.
