Transaction security
GPScom treats the security of your personal data and your transactions as a first-order problem, not an afterthought. Everything you send us about yourself or your order is encrypted in transit and kept confidential.
Identifying you
Two credentials identify you: your username and your password. Together they give you access to your own details and nothing else. You can change your password and your email address as often as you like.
You are the only person who can reach your data through those credentials, and you are responsible for keeping them secret. If you lose your password or believe it has leaked, tell us immediately — until you do, we cannot know that someone else is using it.
Change your password regularly, and do not reuse one that is easy to guess — a birth date is the classic example. Mix letters, numbers and symbols.
Keeping the transfer private
Data moves between your browser and our systems over SSL encryption. Anywhere on the site where you enter personal data — password, address, phone number, card details — that connection is encrypted.
Encryption means the information is encoded until it reaches the intended recipient, who decodes it with the matching key. Your browser encrypts what you send; our systems decrypt it with the same key, process it, and reply the same way.
Controlled access
Access to GPScom.gr's servers is controlled by a firewall. It allows customers to use the services they need while blocking access to the systems and databases holding confidential company information.
Confidentiality of transactions
The principles that govern an ordinary transaction apply to an online one. Everything you send us is confidential, and we have taken the measures needed to make sure it is used only as far as the service requires:
- Only authorised staff can see your transaction details, and only when there is a reason to — processing your request, for instance.
- We do not disclose customer details or transactions unless you authorise it in writing, or a court or public authority requires it.
- Where we use third parties to support our systems, we make confidentiality part of that arrangement.
- You can ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected where you can show it is wrong.
For your own protection, treat everything the service shows you as confidential and do not pass it to anyone else.
Paying by card
Card payments run through the secure server of VIVA payments. When you confirm a card purchase you are moved automatically into VIVA's environment, whoever issued your card.
No detail of the card you type is retained by GPScom.gr, and none of it is disclosed to us.
