The WHA-5500CPE comes with almost everything you need to build a 5GHz connection right away. The device's housing is completely waterproof and designed for harsh environmental conditions.
It includes a built-in directional antenna with 18dBi gain at 5GHz and an 802.3af-compatible Power-Over-Ethernet kit.
With the directional antenna and the high-performance Atheros 11a-type transceiver, the WHA-5500CPE can cover distances of up to 25 kilometres in line of sight with good weather conditions.
The included 802.3af Power over Ethernet adapter allows the WHA-5500CPE to operate at a distance of up to 100 metres from the power source (socket). This capability makes installation very flexible and simple. All you need is an outdoor Cat-5 POE cable, and then you can immediately create communication over very long distances.
For service providers licensed to operate in the 6GHz, 4.9GHz or other spectrum, the WHA-5500CPE has built-in Super channel support. As a result, they do not need to pay extra for a software licence.
