Coaxial Lightning Surge Protector 0–3 GHz

0–3 GHz Wideband N-Male / N-Female RF Inline Protection LEMP / Static
Coaxial lightning surge protector

Protect your RF network from surges caused by lightning (LEMP) and static electricity: the Coaxial Lightning Surge Protector 0–3 GHz is fitted in series between the antenna and the equipment (AP, LTE/5G router, GSM repeater, etc.) and absorbs voltage spikes before they reach sensitive circuits.

LEMP protection
Surges from lightning strikes even up to ~1.5 km away.
Wideband 0–3 GHz
Suitable for GSM/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi and microwave links.
N-Male / N-Female
Easy to add to an existing coaxial line.
Proper earthing = real protection
  • Direct mounting onto the antenna socket of the equipment or at the cable entry point.
  • Low-resistance earthing (< 4 Ω) with a short, thick conductor to the earthing system. Do not use gas pipes / lightning rods as the earthing point.
  • Mast / tower: ideally higher than the antenna, or with the antenna below the top and bonded to a lightning rod.
  • RF sealing: protect the connection points with self-amalgamating tape for a watertight seal.
Example of surge-protector installation / operation

During storms, electronic devices are vulnerable to voltage spikes. The surge protector is inserted into the RF line and diverts the surge to earth before it reaches the AP, router or GSM repeater. The device protects only the equipment it is directly connected to — for full shielding, protect every antenna line entering the premises.

Frequency range: 0–3 GHz
Connections: N-Male / N-Female
Applications: GSM/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, microwave links
Placement: In series (inline) on the coaxial line

Note: Earthing / lightning-protection components must be installed by a qualified technician in accordance with safety standards. Performance depends critically on the quality of the earth.
