The SeaCell™ SC-550 is a true omnidirectional (Omni) antenna, which receives and transmits signal from all directions (360°) without needing to be aligned to a specific mobile-phone tower.
With a gain of up to 14 dBi, it boosts weak signals, allowing better LTE coverage even at distances of up to 8 km from the mobile tower (depending on conditions). It supports 800–2600 MHz frequencies and all GSM / 2G / 3G / 4G LTEstandards, as well as WiFi.
The package includes a bracket for a flat surface or a wall or a mast. For maximum performance the antenna must be mounted in a vertical (upright) position.
The SC-550 is an ideal solution for locations with a low 4G signal: offices, shops, holiday homes, solar parks, leisure boats, etc.
The SC-550 is a SISO (Single Input – Single Output)antenna. If your router has 2 antenna sockets (2x2 MIMO) such as: Huawei B525/B535/B818, ZTE MF286, TP-Link MR600, Teltonika RUT240/241/950, etc., then with a single antenna:
- The connection works normally (it is not incompatible).
- But the router loses the second MIMO channel → reduced download.
- Throughput is limited to roughly 50–70% of full speed.
For **maximum speeds**, we recommend:
• either a **dual MIMO antenna** • or **two antennas of the same type** (Omni or Directional)
The package includes 1 x 5m LMR240 SMA male. The length can be changed by arrangement.

Omnidirectional vs. Directional – which should you choose?
Omnidirectional antenna
- Receives signal from all directions (360°)
- Suitable in urban areas and when the tower is unknown
- Ideal in places with many reflections (city, harbours, boats)
- Lower gain than a Directional
Directional antenna
- Aims at a specific mobile tower
- Ideal for long distances or a weak signal
- Higher gain, 9–20 dBi
- Requires precise alignment
Which is the best choice for you?
➤ If you don't know which tower gives you the best signal → Choose an Omni antenna.
➤ If you know the base station exactly and it is far away → Choose a Directional.
If your router supports MIMO: for maximum speeds, choose 1 MIMO antenna or 2 identical antennas.
