The R5020 is Robustel's first router and, at the same time, the first 5G router to support the global 5G, 4G and 3G bands, built in a compact industrial form factor. The R5020 leverages the proven high-performance CPU platform and Robust OS – a mature and stable operating system developed by Robustel. The R5020 is compliant with 3GPP Release 15 and is designed for use in the following applications:
This rugged device offers cutting-edge connectivity and is also designed to ensure connectivity for Internet of Things applications. It uses the RobustOS operating system, which is Linux-based and designed for use on Robustel devices. This system contains networking functions and protocols that can be easily configured. As a result, it provides customers with excellent ease of use.
Another advantage is the RCMS platform. Designed to work with RobustOS, RCMS unlocks the true potential of Robustel products and extends the operator's capabilities in monitoring, managing and diagnosing network devices, thereby minimising operating costs.
Cellular connectivity is provided by the Quectel RG500Q-AE module, which can operate in the 0–6 GHz frequency range and supports a wider range of 5G bands.
Maximum downlink speed reaches up to 2.5 Gbps, and uplink speed up to 900 Mbps. The device is equipped with many other technologies, such as GNSS positioning or shared Internet access using Dual Band Wi-Fi technology (2.412–2.472 / 5.15–5.825 GHz).
The speeds offered by 5G technology also include 4x Gigabit Ethernet ports.
The router also supports communication via the RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface.
