That is why the SeaCell™ QR-250s was built: a wireless 3G/4G router + WiFi with a slot for one SIM card.
The SeaCell QR-250s was designed on the principle of doing away with the external 3G/4G & WiFi antennas and the antenna down-lead coaxial cables on the boat, providing instead a complete, integrated and compact 3G/4G LTE Cat 4 & Wi-Fi marine router that minimises the total installation time and the cost of buying and fitting the individual parts of a conventional installation and — most importantly — eliminates the signal losses through the coaxial cables, resulting in excellent communication, greater range and higher speeds.
The SeaCell QR-250s is fitted with high-gain internal 3G/4G/WiFi/GPS antennas that create a private, secure WiFi network inside the boat, which can be used simultaneously by up to 10 different devices.
WiFi NETWORK
The SeaCell QR-250s with its WiFi antennas built into the housing and a reliable 802.11n WiFi signal reaching wireless B/G/N speeds of up to 72 Mbps, broadcasts over a radius of up to 150 metres from the router, with up to 10 devices able to connect to it at the same time.
INTERNET SUPPLY
With 3G/4G masts located at various points along the coast and a clear line of sight to the boat while it is under way, the signal can extend over a range of up to 20 nautical miles from shore (depending on the height at which the device is mounted).
INSTALLATION
The individual units of the QR-250s are enclosed in a UV-protected dome that is mounted at a high point on the boat, so it gains many times the range and higher speeds while also achieving maximum diffusion of the WiFi signal throughout the boat.
To operate, the QR-250s needs only a 9–30 VDC power cable and a SIM card. All of this makes the QR-250s very easy to install and manage.
