How the repeater works MarineBoost 5-Band 4-port 5G Repeater :
The MarineBoost 5-4P repeater is ideal for large ships / boats. The high-gain omnidirectional antenna is installed outdoors on the ship at the highest possible point to receive the GSM signal. This antenna receives the signal from various terrestrial GSM base stations and from all directions.
Four (4) Panel-type antennas connect to the repeater and can be placed in four separate locations inside the ship. One antenna connects directly to the repeater for coverage in that location. The other three antennas can be extended to other locations within the ship using the supplied 3 X 15m cables (LMR240 / LMR400).
These three cables are thinner and easy to install.
Total internal coverage: 4 X 1000m2 = 4000m2.
Then the repeater is connected to the mains. That was the whole installation!
When the ship passes within a radius of ~30Km of any Mobile Network mast (4G/5G), the MarineBoost 5-4P system will pick up that signal and repeat it inside the ship.
